Ok, now everyone has an album they like and admire which doesn't get the reviews they thought it deserved but this is different. Detachments were a band that got some great praise throughout last year which means that they were not unknowns and therefore (you'd think) a prospective debut from a promising band would be seized on. The problem is, not one of the reviewers who'd flagged up this band early, reviewed the debut - why? What happened?

Now of course, I like this album quite a bit and so was interested to hear what the reviews would be from my favourite sources and yet I couldn't find a single review of it from any of them.There were reviews of course, but not where' I'd have expected them. Even if the reaction wasn't what I'd like, it would have been better than nothing. Even the Guardian missed it and they were jizzing on themselves over some of the band's early singles last year.

Can anyone tell me why this album seemed to slip through so many nets?
