Have people changed their minds about Titus Andronicus new record?
I agreed with most people that In a Big City sounded like a bit of a parody of Monitor-ish epicness, but i've completely fallen for the album now. Im sure there's a part of me that just loves it because it is Titus, but I definitely did not expect to enjoy the album on its own merits without my brain constantly telling me "well, it's not the Monitor, is it?", so quickly.
Can see why some songs (Electric Man springs immediatedly to mind) may grate and sound waay too Slacker Rock to be taken seriously, but largely most of the songs feel Punk-y in their honesty.
