Alison seems to still be writing for the new album but it should be out this year. From what I've gathered from her Twitter account, we could be heading for a return to the sound of Felt Mountain and Seventh Tree, which would please me greatly, as I didn't find that Head First had much worth revisiting (plus Alison said she didn't like it herself). As much as I loved Supernature and that was there only real big hit album, I find Seventh Tree to be such easy listening.

If I had to order the albums I would say Seventh Tree > Supernature > Felt Mountain > Black Cherry > Head First.
