1 – another 100+ top listens week. This one is so big because Mrs Meat loves this album too, so I play it twice as much as the things she's not so keen on. Want to link you to Powers Joystick or The Organisation, but Volleyball is equally 10/10 great.

Each of those three songs sound really different to each other, and the whole album does. Even individual songs shift half way thorugh – garagy, psychy, northern soul stompy, poppy. Reminds me of early Gorky's Zygotic Mynci a lot in places, in a dreamy, lo-fi, amiguous-time-period psychedlic way. Also, a lot of Oh Sees raw power recall. Which is fitting as John Dwyer released the album on his castle Face label.
2 – new Wooden Shjips is easy listening enough. One of the tracks is even pretty introspective and emotional sounding. I like it well enough, but it makes me yearn for the fizzing repetition of Shrinking Moon For You. Going to see them in a few weeks where hopefully they'll bring it.
The rest you already know and don't need to hear from me about.
