I know this is probably the wrong opinion, but I really prefer John Lennon’s later stuff he did when he mellowed and chilled out a bit.

I’m not a fan of his solo career in general. I love Macca’s first couple of albums after they split and before he did Wings, but never got into Lennon. I gave Plastic Ono Band a listen. It was ok but his songwriting talent is masked a bit by his madness I think.

And get ready for this, my favourite Lennon solo tune is Beautiful Boy.
