grey season: it's an modern classical / ambient / drone LP. Help. please.
Hi all. Completely JAGadelic, and I'm sorry to do stuff like this, but I have no pride. And no friends.
I play in a band called The Monroe Transfer (who DiS have been kind about in the past); while we're working on a giant double album of nonsense, I'm trying to release an album of home listening stuff, some of which started out as theatre scores for shows in the Czech Republic and Germany. It's on Kickstarter, because everyone is these days. Bullet points, then, for brevity:
- Steve Gullick (best rock photographer in the world) has heard it, likes it, and has kindly to provide artwork for the sleeve (and, should the rest of the series of LPs become possible, artwork for the rest of the series as well).
- Records are going to be limited to 300 and numbered by hand.
- Sleeves will be printed digitally (Steve's photos) and letterpress (type), from type that I'm going to cast from molten metal (as that's what I do for a living).
- Nicole Robson ('cellist on the recent Bat for Lashes tour, and regular in The Monroe Transfer) plays 'cello on the last track, too.
Please do have a look if you like the sound of that sort of thing. Maybe you have a former-goth aunt who you're struggling to find a christmas present for. Thanks, all.
