Sunday night special - Last.fm yearly round up
Thread for posting any last.fm stats you deem interesting from over the last 12 months (or just an overview of what you were listening to if you prefer). As usual be nice to see some comments as well as just raw numbers. Here's some of mine
Top 10 artists:
1) Half Man Half Biscuit - 799
2) future of the left - 738
3) The National - 446
4) Boards of Canada - 348
5) Janelle Monae - 276
6) Vampire Weekend - 220
7) Sleigh Bells - 212
8) The Delgados - 187
9) Sparrow & the Workshop - 185
10) Super Furry Animals - 178
1) Dominated my listening in the first half of the year culminating in seeing them live for the first time
2) As 1 but at the tail end of the year.
3) New album and pre-gig listening. Needed to be able to rank their albums in order obviously!
4) Probably more their other albums than Tomorrow's Harvest, bought them all for the first time, really enjoyed getting into them, should have done it sooner.
5, 6, 7 and 9 - mostly new albums which I enjoyed this year
8 and 10 - always going to be reasonably high up my charts

4) Sleigh Bells - Bitter Rivals (15.0)
5) Run the Jewels - Run the Jewels (14.8)
6) Chvrches - The Bones of What You Believe (11.8)
7) Fat Goth - Stud (11.6)
8) Pantha du Prince & The Bell Laboratory - Elements of Light (10.8)
9) Janelle Monae - The Electric Lady (10.5)
10) Sparrow & the Workshop - Murderopolis (10.2)
Reasonably reflects the type of list I picked (in my voted for top 5 I had fotl and Vampire Weekend above The National and Janelle Monae swapped out with Sleigh Bells). Only surprise was seeing Fat Goth so high up, I enjoyed their album but I think it's benefiting somewhat from being released early on in the year. Reckon I'd probably replace it with Jon Hopkins, Nils Frahm or Julianna Barwick (bought her album with a Christmas voucher, finding it rather beguiling).

Top track of 2013
Tie between Diane Young and Johnny Borrell Afterlife at 23 each (seem like a fitting pair!).
