Obviously I've not heard the whole record, but I'd just like to register my surprise somewhere that somebody in the world genuinely doesn't think 'Aaliyah' is utterly amazing. It's one of my favourite things from the past decade.

Sorta know what Marc means about the 'beat so sick, tune so ill...' line, but also am fully aware that 34 year old dads are probably not who that line was aimed at so I let it pass, hoping the youth of today approved. Review sounds positive though, was a bit worried it'd suck balls after such a strong debut.
