I think Andrzej Lukowski ought to spend a little more time with the new record from Natalie Merchant. Giving it 6 out of 10 is strange to me, given the sheer genius of the record. I've been living with the streaming from New York Times (Press Play) for the past few days and I can - hand on my heart - say that it is both the finest work from Natalie Mercant to this day, and the best record I have heard for a long time. Chosen tracks: "Giving Up Everything, "It's A-Coming", "Go Down, Moses" and "Ladybird".
