I recall a member of Wilco grumbling about this one: how reviews of their albums judged them by the first song, i.e. Sky Blue Sky was sunny guitar pop because it starts with 'Either Way' whilst The Whole Love was seen as more 'difficult' because it starts with 'Art of Almost', despite the fact the wider content of both albums is not radically different...
