The same rules/format as the previous months. Feel free to mention as many albums as you like but please make your one album of the month clear as it helps with tallying up the scores easier. Also, if you list a bunch of albums without specifying your favourite I'll take the first one mentioned as your album of the month unless otherwise stated. (Sorry to be such a pedant.)

My album of the month is Ex Hex - Rips
A brilliant 90s indie style record from Mary Timony. I've heard it quite a few times and it gets better with each listen. I liked The Magic City album she did when in Helium but Rips is even better. Probably sacrilege to type here but I'm looking forward to seeing Ex Hex live more than the reformed Sleater Kinney next year (Wild Flag being the link between the two).

I enjoyed the new Mark Lanegan album. The disappointments of the month were the new Allo Darlin' and Zola Jesus albums. I gave the Caribou album a listen too as it got great reviews from most but it just didn't click with me.

I'm looking forward to some good recommendations from you guys and I'll keep this thread open until Sunday 2nd November so that people have almost a week to listen to tomorrow's releases before picking their favourite. As usual forgive any shameless bumps by myself during the week.
