I had another trawl through the recommended albums thread again the other day. Loads and loads of really good stuff but so much of it was headphone music - neo-classical/ambient/folk/post-genre/shoegaze. Very little of it brought the party.

I'm talking records that you could put on if you had mates round or if you were having a little dance.

By far and away the best party has been Todd Terje's for me. Honourable mention to Hospitality, Ex Hex, Alvvays and Mac Demarco.

What else has there been?
