I received a very mean PM.
Which one of you is this then? Although it was sent to me, it does say "this whole website it just full of horrible people actually - to outsiders you all look like a mean-spirited, spiteful trainwreck" so I think we're all equally implicated.
Here it is:
A barrage of well-deserved abuse I've been saving up
From YesIAmTalkingToYou February 23, 2015 14:59
I came on here to reply to someone's note, but felt I might as well say this to you, seeing as I've been thinking about it for a while.
I think you're a total prick.
You could get 50 friends to come here and testify that you are a wonderful person, that'd you'd rescued a busload of orphans single-handed from a fire while coming up with a cure for cancer, and it would make no difference.
You have devoted an incredible amount of time to being a slimy right-wing arsehole, and basically that's what you do, that's who you are. You thought those words, you write them, you write them every day. The persona is you. An empathy-less right-wing arsehole.
There are two possibilities here:
1) You genuinely are a right-wing bigoted arsehole
2) You think it's hilarious to pretend to be one, because it's all so edgy and daring. This actually makes you even more of an arsehole, because it means you're both an insincere prick, and you think it's funny because the things the Tories & UKIP do don't really affect anyone. Basically meaning that you think that the people who are affected by their policies don't really count as real people, and it's so gauche to act like you give a shit about them.
We nearly ran into each other recently. Cementimental/Tim & Andrew did a gig with a load of my friends from my hometown in Rochester, and you were down on the FB guestlist. The same Rochester that recently got a UKIP MP, and had to suffer multiple marches from Britain First. My friends who still live there had been actively campaigning against them, and one of my hometown friends who is mixed-race started getting horrible racial abuse in the street once the UKIP and BF campaigners were in town.
Almost the whole crowd were from Rochester or connected with people there and felt really strongly about keeping UKIP out, and ashamed that our town was becoming known for being racist. It's a good thing you didn't come really. I know what you look like. If you'd been there I would have pointed you out to every single person I knew there (which was most of them) and said "that man thinks he's hilarious and oh so edgy pretending to be a bigoted UKIP supporter on the internet all day". They definitely would not have reacted well to that. I doubt you would have liked it either.
(If you did come, and I didn't spot you, I'll brush up on my spotting skills for the next time I see you. I'm sure there will be a next time, there seem to be a few points of crossover)
It's oh so hilarious to do this stuff when you're an overpaid ex-public schoolboy, and don't have to actually live or suffer any of the effects of these things.
Shows you have a total lack of empathy and are just a shitty person really. This whole website it just full of horrible people actually. To outsiders you all look like a mean-spirited, spiteful trainwreck. Posting on here for long periods of time gives people a fucked up idea of what is normal and acceptable, and you're a pillar of the whole fucked up establishment.
