So I thought I'd check out what Zane Lowe plays on his Beats1 show. There was I thinking it would be a mixture of mainly new music with a few classic tracks similar to his Radio1 days right? Wrong!
He seems to like playing the likes of Ed Sheehan, Calvin Harris, Ellie Goulding and the bloke out of Swedish house mafia with an almost daily play of Tame impala.
Where's the new PJ Harvey Track? School of Seven Bells? Soulwax? Where is Blanck Mass? Aphex Twin?
Where is Bjork? Nils Frahm? Etc etc
I could go on and on.
This is the massive Apple brand. There doesn't seem to be anything indie, obscure or alternative on their schedule. It's even worse than Radio1 and Radio1 is awful.
Love to know what others think.
