always been my favourite Clash album. i had a gander online and there's a surprising lack of modern-day 1000-word re-assessments of it. i used to think people complaining about the length of it or the more lightweight tracks weren't really getting into the spirit of the thing, and as time goes on its critics sound even more short-sighted. Washington Bullets and Broadway might be my two favourite Clash songs, perhaps.
