only 2 listens so far but it's fucking dope. 1985 continues to sound arse to me but luckily it's a bit of a red herring for the rest of the record. probably their least heavy stuff so far but it's more proggy and weird than the smooth/glam rocky shit that 1985 hinted at - heksebrann is like 10 minutes long, reminds me of elder quite a lot... drops into a goofy major key acoustic guitar break that only kvelertak would write/get away with. might actually be my favourite thing they've ever done, that song.

nekrodamus is great too, sort of 70s english folk melody as played by sabbath bloody sabbath era sabbath. that mid paced stomp might be what they're best at. bronesgud is the best rager - quality whoops, quality drum breaks. ondskapans galakse sounds like the cure in parts.

production is a bit rough and ready compared to the first two, clips more than it should do. his vocals sound amazing though - read some cool thing in a review about how his vocal phrasing is so good that you're compelled to sing along when you've got no idea what words he's saying and there's little or no melody.
