Hi, i play in a brazilian punk band called Crusader de Deus (in english: God's Crusader) , obviously it's not religious stuff, most song are about interest rates and songs about a better use of taxes and blahblahblah

Following the Viet Cong/Preoccupations controversy, I got very guilty about the band's name, not because of trauma-related people (i don't think nobody holds real family-relations that go as far as the 11th century) but because it's a name that surrounds by violence and upholds the bigger western religion today. Like Viet Cong, the name was given as a joke by a friend of ours, who thought that we were too cute-looking to play more harsh stuff, so we needed a "bizarrely serious name"

what you guys think about?

this is a serious question, i'm feeling very guilty nowadays.
