Singer Seeks Composer, Collaborator, Whizzkid...
hi there
i'm a singer and lyricist looking for a guitarist/musician to make some music with.
Want to make a very stripped down, simple but not obvious, imaginative, raw rock/ bluesy/ arty heavy folk (?) sound with the odd bleep bleep - similar to P J Harvey, Queens of the Stone Age, White Stripes, The Kills, Velvet Underground.
Having said that i listen to alot of other stuff which i guess are influential: The Slits, The Fall, Now it's Overhead, Devendra Banhart, Pete Doherty's solo stuff, Cat Power, Patti Smith, 60's reggae, The Magnetic Fields, LCD soundsystem, public Image, Dizzee Rascal, Wire, The Smiths, Bloc Party, Bowie, Dylan etc
would like someone to provide the music, and i'll provide the
words and vocals. Would like to work with recording stuff (however basically) and write some songs, more for our pleasure and passion or interest than anything else. Just see what happens, if it's good i'll go for it.
Doesn't matter who you are, age, race, sex, whatever, as long as you're open minded, friendly, inspired, enthusiastic and want to experiment, make something happen! i live in Camden, so if you're a north london person that'd be cool.
