Ok so myself (a bassist and occasional guitarist) and a drummer want to put together a band but neither of us are out and out songwriters. We are both solid, reliable and passionate musicians though and have been playing in gigging bands for the last couple years.

We have pretty similar tastes and would both like to start a band that is energetic, melodic, heavy, intricate and just generally good.

So basically Indie bands that lend from both Punk and (for want of a better term) Post-Rock and are thus Energetic, Passionate, Occasionally Experimental & sometimes even "Epic", and I guess something along those lines is what we would be looking for in the shape of a guitarist and principle songwriter.

Vocalist is less important just now but suffice to say would be an added bonus and, necessary. But, if you're a songwriter and like what you see here please get in contact, of course it wouldn't have to sound exactly like the bands listed above, but note that its probably what the main influences for the rhythm section would sound like.
