Hi there,

My name is Helene and I'm a singer, songwriter and guitarist based in north London. I make psychedelic folk/pop.

I love 60's pop (my favourite band are the Beach Boys), but I also love folk (Nic Jones, Martin Carthy, John Martyn, Nick Drake) and jazz (John and Alice Coltrane, Miles Davis, Billie Holiday, Chet Baker, Ella Fitzgerald to name a poorly selected few!) and loads of other things too. Not a fan of reggae, or indie/twee pop.

I'm currently in the process of recording my debut album and I'm looking to put an acoustic band together to gig and possibly record with. I already have a couple of festival slots lined up so I'd love to have something ready by then.

I'm after the following (in order of urgency):

Backing singers
Double bassist
String players - violin, viola and/or 'cello
Drummer/percussionist

If you can sing and play an instrument then all the better!
