Alt Folk Band with High Ambitions (London)

Ed_Fuller [Edit] [Delete] 15:16, 25 January '11

Hello,

I'm setting up a New Alt folk band, I play guitar and write lyrics/sing. I've been playing guitar for 7years and writing songs for around 3.
I already have a friend of mine Tom who is a music graduate and plays bass/drums and a little guitar, he also has good harmonies and good theory.
I myself work for a music company and have a good idea of what it takes to make it in a band as one of my friends is a member of Dry The River and is being played reguarly on major radio stations.

We're looking for another guitarist and a drummer who are willing to commit to making something in which we can become more than just a hobby. I have space in my house to reherse but not at 100% volume but still good enough to get stuff done (I was jamming with a drummer there for a while, so volume is fairly managable)

We basically want to make something completely original but whilst still mainting a folky element, we listen to a lot of Creedance Clearwater, The Byrds, Neil Young, Midlake, Fairport Convention and much much more!

If you're interested, drop me an E-Mail!

Ed
