Hello

We are a Sheffield based band called The Purgatory Players who will be losing our drummer in a month or so, so we are looking for a replacement. Our style has been likened to that of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Arcade Fire, Scott Walker and Beirut, but we are currently working on an album that is a bit more of a stylistic departure, bringing in Cuban jazz and soukous and lots of other things.

We have done some fairly high profile support slots with The XX and Anna Calvi, but we mostly do our own shows, including a concert we did at Sheffield Cathedral with a full orchestra and our bi-annual mini festival The White Mirror Ball.
