I've been out of bands for a couple of years to focus on studying and looking to get back into gigging again. Ideally I'd like to join something already reasonably established, with songs and gigs already in place, but this isn't a prerequisite.

My musical interests are very broad: I'm into experimental music, classical music, jazz and free improvisation as well as bands like The Smiths, Sonic Youth, This Heat, New Order, Why?, Girls, The National, Dirty Projectors, Pavement, Public Enemy, No Age, etc etc.

I'm not particularly looking to make money from this; what I'm after really is to play with people interested in making good music without taking it or themselves too seriously.
