Velveteen are on the look out for a good bassist, ideally someone who knows a thing or two about effects.

Currently we're a 3-piece & want to start gigging in London over the next couple of months playing tracks from our debut & new EPs, with the latter being recorded as we speak. Plan for 2013 is to play festivals at the back end of summer along with a few oversees gigs in the autumn & lay the groundwork for a full length release early/mid-2014.

Musical influences are far and wide but we've been listening lately to new & old stuff from My Bloody Valentine, Wavves, The Men, Toy, Weird Dreams, Crystal Stilts, The Jesus & Mary Chain, The Fall, The Smiths, Ariel Pink, Stagnant Pools, Real Estate, Kurt Vile, Bo Ningen, Les Savy Fav & Sonic Youth to name but a few.
