Today's most underrated band: Ultravox

prole-art-threat [Edit] [Delete] 13:48, 5 April '07

see I can be nice. Can't I?

Hello.

Anyway people always say "ooh Vienna, it got held off the top spot by Joe Dolce's Shaddap YOur Face, and yes I am suicidal knowing this fact", but really baring this aberration and the fact that 28% of their middle 8s sound like outtakes from the Knightmare theme tune Ultravox, in both guises, had some fantastic futuristic baroque pop moments and ace videos about airfields and all things world War 2. the John Foxx songs like 'Quiet Men' and 'Slow Motion' are fantastic pop songs that may have been listed to by half the 'in bands' of the last 5 years and the Midge Ure era (that pains me to write that name) has WHOOSH! poptasia like Reap the Wild Wind and All Stood Still, all glacial and earnest with yet with a jolly singsong at the end of the world feel to them.

A truly underrated band lmbasted for the right reasons (Vienna, which does have a fantastic late middle 8), but sadly forgotton at laughed at. Criminal negligence.

End of. As M.Loosefit might say.
