I have a coaster on my desk for the first time. I'm not sure I like it. Previously i could be a free spirit and place my mug anywhere i liked, now I'm constrained by the rules of the coaster and I have to put my mug on it. Even when i absent mindedly put my mug down elsewhere, i have to correct myself and put it on the coaster for fear of what the consequences may be. I don't like having my life being ruled over like this. I can feel it, I can see it there in the corner, just looking at me and being all coaster-like and reminding me that now IT is in charge and I HAVE to put my mug on it. Why did I voluntarily accept this silent tormentor into my life!

Let this be a lesson to you. Say no to the coasters.
