1) last night, I watched Andrew Marr's fantastic History of Modern Britain, about the Thatcher years. It was fascinating and shocking to see all the terrible things that happened in Britain when I was a small child - 3 million unemployed, miners strikes, violent protests, selling off of national services, yuppies at the other end of the scale, and he didn't even have time to mention all the nuclear issues.

2) I saw a girl this morning, my age or a bit younger, wearing a t-shirt which read 'BRING BACK THE 80s'. Good work, Topshop.
