In a few months time (probably round about November) I've decided to move flat. At the moment I'm way out West and work in King's Cross and I'm finding it annyoing and inconvenient so I want to go to North or East Central London (Zone 1 or 2 if poss).

Looking on www.net-lettings.co.uk it looks like Mile End or Bethnal Green are the two most reasonably priced areas. Does anyone know anything about living there? Are they decent places to live or would I be cowering and shaking every time I left the house at night?

Also does anyone have any other suggestions/recommendations?
