stupid music equpiment question

alcxxk [Edit] [Delete] 17:59, 1 July '07

i have a digitech "JamMan" loop station
i like it. its aight. but i bought an extra footswitch for it to cycle through loops with my feet.

anyway, it connects to the loopstation via a jack to jack type lead.

it came with a really scrawny jack to jack type lead, which ive lost.

i now try attaching it via a normal j2j and its fucking up - when i plugh the lead into the loop station it cycles through all the loops i have, not stopping on any of them. when i plug the other end of the lead into the control pedal thing, it stops cycling, but doesnt give me any more control.

so my question is: are the jack to jack style leads that you get for connecting pedals to equipment (in this case with the JamMan, but people might have experiences of similar pedal set ups for electric pianos or channel pedals for amps) any different to normal guitar leads? or is my pedal shit? or what?

cheers
