Doing jobs for family friends

commandercool [Edit] [Delete] 10:19, 17 July '07

Soon, I'm going to get a phone call from one of my parents' friends who I've known for about 20 years, asking me to do some 'odd jobs' round the house like mowing the lawn and something with the computer.

However, I'm pretty sure she's just being lazy (she usually has a gardener mow her lawn) and is in no way incapable of doing it herself.

HOWEVER, she is offering to pay me and I'm fairly skint right now.

So, should I:

a. Do the jobs and accept the money however awkward that may be?
b. Do the jobs but refuse payment thus avoiding awkwardness?
c. Make some excuse not to do the jobs?

What was the last moral dilemma that you faced?
