hello, i have a dilemma...about work! yes! basically i'm mid-way through 2 weeks sick leave which i would like to take off in full thank you very much BUT my dept at work are having drinks this fri which i'd like to go to. i'm new there and it would be nice to get to know people outside of work and also another dept have been invited which i've officially been asked to schmooze.

anyway if i phone up my boss and say i know i'm supposed to be coming back next week but is it ok if i come along for a bit on fri blah, blah, blah will it...
a) make me look like an impressive team player who shows initiative even in the face of adversity
b) make my boss suspicious "if she can come for drinks why can't she come back to work etc"
c) make me look like a sad workaholic

YOU DECIDE...or something. i'm thinking b at the moment.
