The bands were absolutely excellent, but we left at half 12, because none of the music played after the superb The Bobby McGees had left the stage was remotely describable as 'twee'. I detected dance-rock, 'angular guitar noise', 'bluesguitar wankery' and 'generic metal', but not 'twee'.

Is it really a 'thing' for indie club nights that, when everyone's a bit tanked up on Peroni and it's midnight, the ethos of the night has to go out the window and they just put the rock tunes on whatever? I found this at 'How Does It Feel?', where after a while it seemed to be 49% jangly rock, 50% The Smiths and 1 good song.

Twee does not equal a normal club night with two Belle and Seb songs an hour tacked on, folks. I WANT TWEE TWEE TWEE GODDAMN YOU!
