A friend of mine got a job in Birmingham a few months back. Since he has no friends there he's been spending his evenings solemnly strumming his guitar and crying himself to sleep. Probably.

Anyway, I thought I'd pop down and take him on a tour of his adopted city and find him something to do. And, more importantly, find him some place cool to get bladdered in.

So people, I ask you: what's there to see in Brummieland? And where are all the good pubs/clubs? We'd prefer some kind of dingy rock pub witha decent jukebox but we're pretty open minded. Especially if the drinks are cheap. I find the cheaper the drinks the more open our minds are.
