I hate shoe shopping, I can never find what I want.

So, peoples and animals (that means you, Llama) of DiS, help me find a pair of shoes that are smarter than normal, and suitable for nights out, but which don't make me look an overdressed buffoon of the Boris Johnson variety.

Your brief:

- something with a bit of a point, but not horrendous winkle picker pointed. More like the bottom of a cowboy boot.
- must go good with skinnier black jeans, so probably something in black, not brown.
- preferably a boot, but all suggestions welcome.
-not too expensive. £50 odd, but exceptional exceptions considered.
