Apologies for yet another thread about moving to London, but seriously, where the hell do you start?!

Can anyone recommend an area that's cheap yet not too horrible? Does such a thing exist?

Or better still, are there any DiS people looking for a flatmate? I'm housetrained and make a good cup of tea...
