Why do so many English people get ridiculous amounts of angry when I say 'haitch', and not 'aitch'?

It's one of the stupidest things ever to be uptight about.

Like those people who get really angry when you don't put the plastic triangular seperating thing between your shopping and their's on the conveyor belt at every supermarket ever.
And they try and leeeeean past you to grab the stupid plastic triangular thing.
Silly.
