Breathless copy for new mobile phone

mattty [Edit] [Delete] 00:23, 3 September '07

Who does this? Whose job is it to spew out 300 words of mind-numbingly trite copy about how a new mobile phone will change your life. Yuck.

The final paragraph is particularly horrible. I feel dirty just reading it.

"Design inspiration for the O2 Cocoon

Taking inspiration from real life, we asked designers, fashion students and musicians from London to Tokyo, Shanghai to Rio, "what inspires you, and what do you want from a mobile phone?"
The answer? Something emotional. Original. That doesn't look like a phone or a music player - something more natural, that's visually stunning and functions perfectly.

O2's Innovation Lab worked with design agencies to create... the O2 Cocoon. One of the most advanced music phones on the market. With the sleekest design, hiding all its technology under a pure, white shell. It comes alive with LED lights showing who's calling or what's playing. And it goes to sleep in its own Nest.

If we explored your life what would we find? Simplicity. Confusion. A field of creativity. A desert. Poetry. Pulp fiction. Punk. Pop. Whatever's bubbling inside, you can package it all up in the O2 Cocoon."
