Yesterday I was the last out of 16 players to be picked for football. It's quite saddening to realise that, despite playing football pretty much every week ever since I was 6 years old, I still haven't gained any semblance of an aptitude for the game.*

Where were you in the pecking order for playground games? Captain? goalhanger? keeper? or always last like me?

*I showed them though. I actually scored a full on, glorious diving header. I have bruises all down one side. But it was worth it. definitely in the top 3 moments of my life so far.
