Has anyone been there?

I got taken to it on Saturday night after the Sonic Youth gig by a pal who lives in London, its the first takeaway I've been into that has an in-house 'band'. Two people playing sax and jazz flute to a backing tape. Flipping bizarre.

Is this normal behaviour for London? Just how many levels of irony are necessary in a fast food establishment? The trendiest clientelle I've ever seen for people going out to a chippy. I felt arkward and a bit embarrassed. People going to sit in a takeaway to laugh at two people playing very naff jazz.

Are we doomed?
