A rate final destination story here folks. Well except this actually happened and is genuinely interesting.

My Dad is a quantity sureveyor and works in Thailand. Yesterday he was supposed to be flying to Phuket from Bankok with a buisness associate to discuss a new contract. He was to meet the associate at the airport and from there they would fly onto Phuket and meet with the prospective employers.

When it comes to buisiness my Dad is extremely strict. He is always punctual, saying that in work you cannot afford to mess stuff like this up with poor time keeping as it will bite you on the arse over and over (words to that effect anyways.) However this particular occasion he was late arriving at the airport and was told that he would be unable to board the plane and would have to get the next one.

Understandably annoyed with himself, he arranged to meet the buisiness associate at Phuket airport and apologised for the inconvinience.

Within hours the plane had crashed and sadly the buisiness associate was among the dead. If he had boarded the plane, it is extremely likely that my Dad would have died with him.
