Seeing us string two away wins together for the first time in 100000000 years is really quite something. Not least because we did one at Ewood Park and we achieved both with a sizeable degree of conviction.

Add to this, putting seven goals past Reading (let's ignore the back four on that one) and watching our first team pass the ball in an almost-as-good-as-Arsenal-are-doing-it type way right now and I don't think I've ever been as excited at being a Pompey fan (Prem promotion season aside).

I believe that if we can weather the storm of the African Nations Cup, we'll be battling for top six come April/May.
