I worked with someone once - a happy clapper Christian who's brother killed himself on Christmas Eve - seeing today in Stratford East London signs up ALREADY for 'Chrimbo' made me think about that and also that a depressed area such as this and others its probably quite widespread?

Christmas advertising IS depressing though isn't it, and hearing the coda to 'I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday' as you queue mournfuly in Boots behind a pallid faced shopmobility user with a graveyard cough who's buying ear medicine to take back to their slate-grey council flat only to discover someone else has thrown themselves off the balcony as they coudn't bear to see another advert for Woolworths with those gormless dog puppets again IS also quite disagreeble. When will it stop?
