my computer has gone and died on me, or more precisely . . .
playing s.t.a.l.k.e.r. the game crashes, no big deal i think, it's not patched and my computer is barely above it's minimum requirements only when i restart my computer the monitor doesn't come back on and all i get is the "no display: check cable" message.
bugger i've gone and knacked my monitor, yes?
apparently no, i get out my old monitor and plug that in (so that's all change with the leads too) and still no response.

what have i done and how much will i need to spend to fix it ??
