Its not like in the seventies when there was a 'shortage' of Asian/African actors and people 'blacked up' (see 'It Aint 'Alf Hot, Mum', and 'Them Next Door'*) so why do silly smugfaces like Hugh Laurie and Eddie Izzard have to go to America and 'do american' accents for crying out loud - is this because no one in this country wants to employ them so they have to reivent themselves and how wouild we feel if original Beakerhead David Swimmer or, oh Jesus I don't know OK? came 'over' here and started talking like Robert Linsday or Stephen Fry now, would we?
