I went to a bowling alley yesterday, and it was brilliant fun. We even had a guy who served us TEA at our lane. Astounding.

Just when I was considering making bowling here a regular pastime, a guy turned up at the lane next to ours and started polishing his balls (ha). He was wearing thumb plasters, special Nike bowling trousers and a special glove for his thumb.

He was very good, but he proceeded to glare at us all the way through the remainder of our afternoon there. When I picked up his see-through ball (a la 'King Pin'), he nearly had a heart attack. He polished my fingerprints off it! TWAT.

I thought here in Qatar that the Big Lebowski influence would not be so pronounced, but this guy was like Jesus. The only thing he didn't do was lick the ball.
