If you think you are the jealous type, do you ever try and surpress it for the sake of not annoying somebody/making yourself look a tit?

Are there any niggling things that your partner does that really get to you, but you let go? Or are you the kind of person that will just come out and say it?

I think I'm usually quite wary of coming across as being slightly bothered by things. I really, really hate the idea of seeming 'possessive' in any way, because I'm not. But how long would you say is an acceptable length of time for your girlfriend to NOT tell her ex about her new relationship (for whatever reason), without starting to feel a little... miffed?
