Some notes on BT Chargecards

prole-art-threat [Edit] [Delete] 12:44, 22 October '07

eeeh 'appen when I were a lad etc/shut up prole and tell us about a potted history of space trams or something...........

ANYWAY, I've come over a bit Andrew Collins and was thinking about BT chargecards - remember them? I had one at university which meant I could call my mum if I typed in some digits and they would pay for the call on their next bill -one of my friends however had a chargecard that meant you could call any number you wanted (an early version of Toby Masters getting his parents to pay his mobile phone bill?), and therefore everyone made sure they memorised the number to make 'cheeky' phonecalls on the quiet. They seemed really modern at the time (1994). Oh dear why won't this white heat of technology slow down. It has? Oh.
