I saw a pair of 'Puma Disc' trainers the other day, forgot how naff they were. Apparently they were the worst things ever for playing football in as the strings inside would snap.

I always wanted some of those Reeboks with the pump, but they were quite expensive..
Best pair of trainers I owned were some Converse ones I got for basketball with gel stuff in the sole. They were awesome, and had velcro AND laces. Back when trainers were status symbols, I was cool for at least a week.
