Is Tesco's ethical?

chunty [Edit] [Delete] 16:33, 30 October '07

I joined a personal pension thing last week and my money is being invested in about 6 ethically run UK companies. One of these is Tesco's.

Now, I'm getting increasingly bothered with myself that I signed up to this as Tesco's doesn't sit right with me on a day to day basis, what with setting up shop left right and centre, particularly when it's right next to existing private run grocers etc.

I'm thinking of changing what my money is invested in, this would mean some sort of higher risk investment plan where I might lose my money altogether and it wouldn't be a specific 'ethically run company' package, at the moment the percentage paid to Tesco's works out as £3 a month, but then every little helps (DID YOU SEE WHAT I DID THERE?)

What would you do?
