In a couple of weeks time my parents are coming to see my new flat in Archway and staying overnight in a hotel in Paddington.

After seeing my flat, they've offered to take me out for a meal somewhere roughly between Archway and King's Cross. Having just moved to North London I've no idea where good restaurants are yet and I'd really appreciate some recommendations (ideally French, Italian or similar).

Basically I want somewhere that with a nice atmosphere that does a decent selection of delicious unpretentious food. Any suggestions?
